The Lab Plasma was built by Grupo Maciel, from demolition to millwork. The space, a former plasma laboratory of UNICAMP's Physics Institute, made available by then-rector Marcelo Knobel, was transformed into a 1,200 m² coworking space serving the academic community.
The project is part of a partnership between universities, alongside its sister spaces Mescla (PUC) and ILUM (CNPEM). The work earned international recognition: 2nd place in the Campus Challenge 2030, behind only a German university.
